Palestinian media landscape: Experiences,narratives, and agendas of journalists under restrictions

This study aims to increase our understanding of the dynamics of the Palestinian media and the conditions and circumstances in which they work, including both the conflict with Israel and the internal political strife within Palestinian society. It is based on the use of qualitative research methods and was conducted in two stages. First, we performed a mapping of Palestinian media outlets. Data on these Palestinian media outlets were collected online from the West Bank-based Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Information website, the Gaza-based Hamas government’s Ministry of Information website, and statements published by Palestinian media outlets on their websites describing their affiliation and ownership. Second, to gain a more in-depth understanding of the dynamics and experience of practicing journalism in a situation of asymmetrical conflict, semistructured in-depth interviews were conducted with 25 professional local Palestinian journalists working for local media outlets in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem. Through this study we aim to learn more about how groups shape and express their narratives and agendas through the media when restricted by the conditions, pressures, and limitations of asymmetrical conflict.     

现代影视对古典名著改编的思考与启示

回顾历史,影视改编呈现出典型的时段、地域、文化等特征;古典名著也受到现代影视的促进而扩大了传播。但进入21世纪以来,科技含量越来越多的影视对古典名著的改编却走上了过分追求市场化和吸引观众眼球的弯路。因此,探求影视改编的新路和方向便成了当下学界讨论和研究的重点。     

影视导演学研究述评

随着国内普通高校编导类专业的大量开设,关于影视导演学的研究愈发迫切。国内外相关研究已取得了很大的成绩,国内集中在影视导演理论和导演观念、导演方法和模式、导演基础知识和教学研究、学生导演潜质等方面的研究;国外则在影视导演技术和导演技巧方面成绩卓著。所存在的问题主要表现为,或偏重于戏剧导演的研究,或研究缺乏完整性系统性等问题。对其进行回顾与梳理,有助于推进新媒体环境下影视导演学的研究,有助于普通高校编导专业的开展,具有较强的理论和实践意义。     

体育电影的边界与类型

基于体育电影学科的构建需要,提出体育电影的边界与类型问题。运用类型研究的方法对体育电影的内涵与外延进行划定。体育电影与政治、经济、种族、阶级等相邻领域关联,形成体育电影的边界;在内部,体育电影主要由三种类型构成:体育科教片、体育纪录片、体育故事片,三种影片类型在体育电影中早已存在,并以各种特征完成对体育本质的诠释与表达,而在新技术条件下,类型之间则通过交叉与融合推动整个体育电影的形式创新,从而彰显体育以及电影的魅力。     

目标设置对体育新闻专业学生 学习持久内驱力影响的机制及实验研究

运用文献资料、问卷调查及实验法对沈阳体育学院新闻学专业308名学生进行测查,探索激发学生学习内驱力的有效方法。研究结果表明：学生学习状态需要调整,学习内驱力需要激发;基于目标设置理论构建的新闻学专业学生学习激励模型适合该群体大学生学习需求,验证了目标设置能够很好地预测新闻学学生学习内驱力并改变其学习态度的合理性;教学实验验证了设置目标对于促进和增强学生持久学习内驱力的有效性,是激发学生学习动机的有效手段。     

Incongruity in News Headings

In the rapidly changing news market, quality newspapers are searching for ways to combine established journalistic practices with attractive presentation of their newsprint. On internet news sites, attention-getting headlines are even more important in obtaining readership. This paper investigates the role of incongruity in selection of headings, and recall, recognition, and appreciation of selected news items. In Experiment 1, headlines were written on three incongruity levels: straightforward, ambiguous (trope), or stylistically deviant (scheme). In Experiment 2, news headlines were accompanied by either consistent or inconsistent photographs. Results of both experiments showed that heading incongruity enhanced information processing of news items.     

Social media boundaries in sports journalism: individual and organisational gatekeeping in India and Australia

Journalists with social media accounts can face conflict between the personal nature of their posts while operating as representatives of their news organisations. The addition of another publishing platform has also continued to change the role of the journalist as gatekeeper, with more decisions to be made over dissemination choices in traditional, online and social media. This comparative study of sports journalists in India and Australia examines gatekeeping influences at individual and organisational levels. It combines in-depth interviews with 22 sports journalists with a content analysis of 2085 Twitter posts from sports journalists covering the Australia–India Test cricket series of 2014–2015. The results highlight how multi-media gatekeeping has become a factor for contemporary sports journalists in both nations.     

Indigenous cultural values and journalism in the Asia-Pacific region: a brief history of Māori journalism

A number of scholars in the Asia-Pacific region have in recent years pointed to the importance that cultural values play in influencing journalistic practices. The Asian values debate was followed up with empirical studies showing actual differences in news content when comparing Asian and Western journalism. At the same time, such studies have focused on national cultures only. This paper instead examines the issue against the background of an Indigenous culture in the Asia-Pacific region. It explores the way in which cultural values may have played a role in the journalistic practice of Māori journalists in Aotearoa New Zealand over the past nearly 200 years and finds numerous examples that demonstrate the significance of taking cultural values into account. The paper argues that the role played by cultural values is important to examine further, particularly in relation to journalistic practices amongst sub-national news cultures across the Asia-Pacific region.     

新闻学与传播学关系初探

本文尝试把新闻学与传播学结合起来考察。两学科定义有别、根源有异。新闻学属人文学科，但也应汲取传播学的学术精髓；传播学属社会科学，也须具备新闻学的人文关怀。在构建社会主义和谐社会的大背景下，两者的关系须是“相互促进”，共谋“和谐发展”。
