基于WebGIS和虚拟现实的闽台缘虚拟美术馆的设计

中国闽台缘博物馆是展示中国大陆与宝岛台湾紧密联系的国家级博物馆,基于WebGIS和虚拟现实的闽台缘虚拟美术馆是对闽台缘博物馆的补充,可以通过InternetZ维动态地展示美术馆,满足人们随时随地欣赏画作的需求．文章从虚拟美术馆的系统架构设计、系统功能设计及三维模型设计与实现三个方面阐述闽台缘虚拟美术馆的设计,并应用VRML构建了虚拟美术馆的具体模型及其虚拟场景展示．

从光盘可读性的界定出发，借助于试验数据的比较分析，从正确选择图书馆馆藏CD-ROM的类型、有效控制馆藏CD -ROM的环境条件和建立馆藏CD-ROM的质量跟踪体系3方面论述保证CD-ROM长期可读的策略。     

The consumption of contemporary visual art: identity formation in late adulthood

This paper examines the responses of older people to the British Art Show 6, which is an exhibition of recent developments in contemporary visual art in the UK. One group of respondents attended two “meet the artist talks” and a second group attended an artist-led workshop where they produced work that had been stimulated by the exhibition. The focus groups that resulted were analysed using theoretical frameworks related to identity construction. The analysis demonstrated that respondents were using the resources of the exhibition to construct identity positions in response to their social contexts. However, their ability to do this was governed by how the relationship between agency and structure played out for individuals in their engagement with contemporary visual art. It is suggested that wellbeing originates from the control such a process might give individuals over their social environment.     

Experimental study on optimal layout of grid desilting gallery

Based on the desilting research of one scheduling project in the southwest of China, the method of setting grid desilting gallcry before the desilting tunnel is put forward to expand the scope of the scouring funnel before the dam and solve the problem of sediment deposition at the power station water intake. The experimental results show that, in the design of a grid desilting gallery, the width of the grid gallery should not be smaller than that of the desilting bottom in-take, the size of the grid orifice should be in the range of 1.5 m-2.0 m along the flow direction, and the grid spacing should be 3-5 times the size of the grid orifice. The discharging ability of the desilting bottom intake will decrease after the grid desilting gallery is added. The average of the decrease rates is about 5%-10%. The scouring funnel draws in the longitudinal direction before the dam obviously after the construction of the grid desilting gallery.     

Touched by Turner

This is a personal reflection on an encounter with the works of the nineteenth‐century painter J. M. W. Turner in London's Tate Britain exhibition ‘Late Turner: Painting Set Free’. The article discusses the deeply subjective nature of engaging with artworks, and touches upon theories that might account for the ineffable but moving experiences that sometimes occur in such situations, often unexpectedly, and analyses the associations that might prompt them – in this case the details of dogs in some of Turner's works. There is a discussion of the theoretical frameworks that may provide an insight into these deeply subjective, personal and yet significant encounters, and how they can provide a means to a richer understanding of an artwork. The article considers the conditions that might be conducive to these contemplative, affective experiences, and how they might occur in educational settings with appropriate forms of pedagogy. The article concludes by contrasting slow, idiosyncratic and subjective learning through artworks, with the dominant, data‐based and reductive trends that currently prevail in mainstream education.     

Older People Learning through Contemporary Visual Art – Engagement and Barriers

This article addresses how older people understand and engage with contemporary art in the gallery context – whether there is something unique to the art, the format of the visits, the pedagogical approaches used by gallery educators, the social contact, or a combination of all these factors. It also addresses the psychosocial barriers to engagement. It draws from ‘Contemporary visual art and identity construction – wellbeing amongst older people’, a two‐year research project funded by the cross‐research council New Dynamic of Ageing Programme. Over 21 months, 43 participants aged 60–92 made three visits to contemporary art galleries in north‐east England. The potential for art galleries to develop lifelong learning opportunities for post‐retirement people has implications for the cultural, health and voluntary sector.     

高校美术馆在校园文化建设中的地位

高等院校应通过多种途径来营造校园和谐文化氛围,而美术馆则是构建高校校园和谐文化的重要组成部分。充分发挥高校美术馆在高校文化建设中的作用,并将高校美术馆打造成提高当代大学生文化艺术素质的平台,这应是新时代高校发展的重要条件之一,也是我国高校走向世界,与国际对话交流的一种有效途径。
