现实主义、乌托邦主义与重构新闻专业主义的批判话语——基于“行动”的解释学研究路径

国内学术界对于新闻专业主义的研究具有现实主义和乌托邦主义的倾向,这两种倾向阻碍了我们对于新闻专业主义更深一步的认知。新闻专业主义存在于媒体从业者的日常行动中,从解释学的路径出发,探讨媒体从业者的日常行动及其背后的主观意义,能够将个体行动、主观意义、权力控制等微观和宏观视角链接起来。由于这一视角是植根于媒体从业者鲜活的日常行动中,它能够深刻阐释媒体从业者的实践状况,重构新闻专业主义作为批判话语的解放意义。     

The Role of Language in a Journalistic Interpretive Community

Drawing on anniversary-edition articles and interviews with journalists at Jakarta Post, Indonesia’s largest English-language news outlet, we argue that language of publication directly informs the narratives a journalistic interpretive community [Zelizer, Barbie. 1993. “Journalists as Interpretive Communities.” Critical Studies in Mass Communication 10: 219–237] develops to position itself as a news authority. Analysis showed that associations with English as a foreign language in Indonesia influenced stories of the newspaper’s professional values and practice, and the ways it conceptualized readership. The study contributes to the growing body of literature that examines intersections of journalism and language—in this case, English as a language of publication in a global context.     

Food for Thought in Restaurant Reviews

Coverage of food journalism has increased in contemporary media and restaurant reviews are a regular feature in newspapers. The reaction to a rating of zero for a restaurant in The Weekend Australian newspaper in 2016 highlighted the role and expectations of critics. It also raised the issue of whether this form of lifestyle journalism included traditional journalistic objectives, or was influenced more by commercial factors. In this environment, it is therefore valuable to explore whether restaurant reviews are more aligned with detached journalism or an extension of marketing. Utilising a content analysis, this pilot study examines the ratings of food critics in four broadsheet/quality newspapers in Australia and the United Kingdom. During the three years of the data collection, 550 restaurant reviews were coded. The pattern of review marks suggested more supportive judgements than critical ones, and was consistent with the softer side of journalism.     

体育新闻传播叙事模式的嬗变与共存

摘要：以质化研究为基本研究范式,以文献法为主要研究方式,对中国当代体育新闻传播的叙事模式进行了整体性分析。结果表明：中国当代体育新闻传播主要呈现出四种叙事模式,即政治维度的宣传模式、本体维度的专业模式、经济维度的娱乐模式和文化维度的人文模式,并分别对应着四种价值导向——宣传价值、新闻价值、娱乐价值和人文价值。其中,宣传模式贯穿始终,但渐呈弱化趋势;专业模式兴起于改革开放后,推动了体育新闻传播的职业化、专业化进程;娱乐模式在市场经济大潮中盛行一时,但其异化倍受质疑;人文模式自新世纪以来受到重视,提升了体育报道的内在品质。     

e-Government services for faith-based organizations: Bridging the organizational divide

In this paper, we examine the challenges faced by faith-based institutions in a low-income, predominantly Black community seeking to take advantage of grants provided through the White House Office of Community and Faith-Based Initiatives (FBCI). FBCI is an e-Government program that assists nonprofit organizations in competing for Federal dollars with fewer bureaucratic barriers. Informed by the design-actuality framework, we interviewed clergy at seven faith-based organizations. The intent of this analysis is to juxtapose the design intentions of the government officials with the actualities expressed by the intended benefactors of the initiative. Our findings suggest that this e-Government initiative may unwittingly exacerbate existing disparities in the strategic use of information and communication technologies (ICT).

“遵守法律”与“法律权威”——从两部戏剧看中西法律文化的差异

剧情相似的《铡包勉》和《安蒂纲》表现了中西法律文化在国法、人情关系问题上的不同。从法律的外在视角、内在视角、法律实施的结果、法律的分类以及社会规范的产生和归属等方面分析两部戏剧,在＂遵守法律＂与＂法律的权威＂这个问题上,中西法律文化展现了完全不同的特点。在西方法观念中,＂法律权威＂虽然不断受到挑战和质疑,但＂遵守法律即是正义＂是毋庸置疑的。而在中国法观念中,＂法律权威＂虽获得＂识别＂或＂承认＂,但＂遵守法律＂却未得到普遍的接受与认可。     

泉州外来宗教文化的传播

泉州外来宗教文化的传播,与"海上丝绸之路"的文明历程有着密切的关系。其中,伊斯兰教在泉州的传播是泉州"海上丝绸之路"兴起的直接结果,印度教在泉州传播的历史命运与泉州"海上丝绸之路"的盛衰过程相始终,摩尼教和基督教在泉州的传播是泉州"海上丝绸之路"的环境产物。外来宗教文化的传播,促进了中外文化大交流,进一步加强了泉州国际大港的地位。当泉州"海上丝绸之路"趋于衰落,泉州外来宗教文化的传播也就陷于低谷或走向衰落。但多元的宗教精神及信仰的某些形式依然长期影响着泉州社会,其所蕴涵的文化价值成为泉州人乃至中华民族的共同文化财富。

Nowadays, the fairy tales have been on hot discussion. Some say that the very original Grimm’s fairy tales is capricious that we may be more cautious whether it’s suitable for children. With the rethinking of fairy tales, many other scholars argue that the fairy tales can be valuable with its hidden German customs in the original version and the current versions are acceptable to children.The hot discussion raises our thinking. This new discussing wave may indicate something at a degree that the Grimm’s Fairy Tales is worthy going deeper to study. We think that the Grimm’s ferry tales is valuable for its pure essence and the German culture it hides that even adults should read it. Children can read the current version of Grimm’s Fairy Tales with their innocence,getting the basic judging system of good and bad. The core question is that Adults also should pick it up. That’s because usually people will find that all the experiences and reasons can be dated back to the simple truths in fairy tales. Meantime, the Grimm’s Fairy Tales reflects lots of unthinkable customs and culture. The only thing we need to do is try to find new aspects and directions to explore the classic. With the spiritual and academic help, shouldn’t the Grimm’s fairy tales be necessary for both children and adults to read?
