高校文化育人系统的构建

文化价值是高等教育的主导性价值取向,文化育人是高校的重要功能。高校文化研究、文化素质教育、校园文化建设是高校文化育人系统的有机组成,三者协调结合、三位一体,共同践行着以人为本的教育理念。     

历年教育学学科全国优秀博士学位论文产出分析

分析历年教育学学科全国优秀博士学位论文NEDD(National Excellent Doctoral Dissertations)的产出特点,将对提高博士生培养质量起到引导和示范作用。本文采用文献法和访谈法,对1999-2007年教育学学科NEDD的获得数量在所有学科、哲学社会科学以及教育学科中的分布,NEDD的获得与培养机构、重点学科以及导师知名度等的相关性进行了分析,发现教育学学科NEDD评选的竞争性将进一步加剧。     

论高职院校开展成功素质教育的几个问题

培养高职生成功素质已经成为高职教育的重要目标。高职成功素质教育要以培养高素质、高技能的"双高"人才为旨归,从高职生的实际出发,切忌攀高求大,不要希望一蹴而就,应体现专业特色,容许差异性发展,并引入企业文化。     

广西中等职业学校教师教育现状、问题及对策

通过对广西中职师资队伍素质及其教育现状的调查。发现存在师资数量严重不足、师资结构失衡和教师继续教育情况不尽如人意等问题。据此，建议从广开引进渠道、统筹各类资源、建立交流平台和改革培训方式等方面来加强师资队伍的建设。

农村公路工程质量关系到人民群众的生命安全，而质量的保证就是监督的有力手段。监督需要全方位的全民参与：单位自检，职能部门监督，广大的人民群众也参与监督。     

Application of the Levenshtein Distance Metric for the Construction of Longitudinal Data Files

The analysis of longitudinal data in education is becoming more prevalent given the nature of testing systems constructed for No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). However, constructing the longitudinal data files remains a significant challenge. Students move into new schools, but in many cases the unique identifiers (ID) that should remain constant for each student change. As a result, different students frequently share the same ID, and merging records for an ID that is erroneously assigned to different students clearly becomes problematic. In small data sets, quality assurance of the merge can proceed through human reviews of the data to ensure all merged records are properly joined. However, in data sets with hundreds of thousands of cases, quality assurance via human review is impossible. While the record linkage literature has many applications in other disciplines, the educational measurement literature lacks details of formal protocols that can be used for quality assurance procedures for longitudinal data files. This article presents an empirical quality assurance procedure that may be used to verify the integrity of the merges performed for longitudinal analysis. We also discuss possible extensions that would permit merges to occur even when unique identifiers are not available.     

The male–female gap in post-baccalaureate school quality

Women are less likely than men to earn degrees from high quality post-baccalaureate programs, and this tendency has been growing over time. I show that, aside from the biomedical sciences, this cannot be explained by changes in the type of program where women tend to earn degrees. Instead, sorting by quality within degree program is the main contributor to the growing gap. Most of this sorting is due to the initial choice in which program type to apply to. No gender differences in selection with respect to ability or program quality arise as students progress through the admissions, enrollment or persistence choices.     

论成人教育的服务功能及其实现路径

成人教育存在的价值在于向社会提供服务,因此服务体现了成人教育功能的本质。成人教育服务具有对象广泛、内容多元、形式多样和领域社会化等特征。当前,成人教育发展困境的根源在于服务难以体现自身的特色,成人教育应通过更新发展理念、提高服务质量、扩大服务对象和开发服务项目来促进服务功能的实现。     

The Management of Integrated Educational Environment Resources: the factors to be considered

Today, as educational organisations have become large and complex systems, education managers play a greater role in developing the most efficient educational environment. This article analyses the strategic background for educational management in relation to creating a constructive educational environment aimed at supporting a sustainable learning process. It also attempts to describe the diversity of resources that the educational environment comprises. We propose a model for managing the educational environment resources (MMEER) to guide the resources allocation within this multi-level system. The article stresses the need to create an encouraging and motivating environment to use the material and non-material resources as well as the intellectual capital of an educational institution most efficiently, student motivation being an indispensable prerequisite for enhancing quality and increasing the performance of an educational organisation.
