高光谱植被指数与水稻叶片叶绿素相关分析

利用野外地物光谱仪Avafield-1测定水稻灌浆晚期三个品种的叶片光谱曲线,将所测的光谱反射率值计算得到11个植被指数,分析植被指数与同期所测叶片叶绿素值关系.结果表明品种三与其他两个品种在灌浆晚期光谱曲线差异较为明显,植被指数对于灌浆晚期叶片叶绿素相关性较低,最大相关值0.83是修正归一化差异指数与叶绿素计算所得.

基于MCP2510的CAN总线在ESP远程监控系统中的应用

为实现对分布范围较广的多台电除尘器生产过程进行集中监视、管理和控制,提出了一种基于MCP2510实现的CAN总线电除尘远程监控系统,系统采用T1公司生产的MSP430F149单片机为控制器核心,实现了上位机与电除尘器的远程通信和控制。

该文提出一种基于短消息的智能家居远程控制器设计方案,该控制器以GSM移动通信网络作为远程控制信号的通信平台,用户通过手机等设备向远程控制器发送特定控制指令短信,远程控制器可根据短信内容进行家电等远程设备的控制．控制器硬件包括信号处理及控制模块ATMEGA8单片机,GSM通信模块TC35,电源,显示,控制驱动等单元电路．系统的软件包括初始化、短信提取与判别、控制驱动、显示等功能模块．该远程控制器可广泛应用于智能家居等场所．     

Off-Site Storage from a Cataloging Point of View

This article focuses on the challenges faced by the serials cataloging staff at Texas A&M University Libraries following a decision to move materials to an off-site storage facility. The process of cataloging review developed by serials cataloging staff to address these challenges is described in detail. More specifically, the process that deals with the preparation of the collections for off-site storage, with emphasis on the unique problems created by serials that have been cataloged under pre–Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, Second Edition (AACR2) rules is described.     

We Care—Virtually and in Person: A User-Centered Approach to Assessment,Implementation and Promotion of Library Resources and Services to a Remote Graduate Campus

ABSTRACT

The article relates how the Brooklyn Campus Library of Long Island University, despite limitations of physical distance and the varying conditions of the remote graduate campus at Westchester, makes every effort to face each challenge creatively with practical solutions for implementation. We share our findings and experiences—what worked and what did not—and what remains to be done in terms of supporting the curricula and bringing library resources and services to a mixture of remote site users. The authors recount how the gap between reality and the ideal is reduced and unique issues relevant to remote users are resolved by the Brooklyn Campus Library, in collaboration with other units of Long Island University. We relate how we combine library instruction with our marketing efforts to promote library resources and services. We also analyze survey data and interlibrary loan statistics to assess our success. The article contributes to the ongoing discussion of improving and promoting library resources and services to remote sites.     

Videoconferencing and Remote Application Sharing for Distant Reference Service

Summary

Computer technology has progressed to the point where desktop videoconferencing with personal computers and remote application sharing software can be employed in remote reference library service. These technologies can be used to provide personal and effective distant reference and library instruction services to library users, in addition to such traditional methods as mail, telephone, and e-mail service. This article presents scenarios in which videoconferencing and remote applications sharing software can be used in distant reference service. Free software discussed includes CU-SeeMe for videoconferencing and NetMeeting for videoconferencing and remote applications sharing.     

“Contact Us”: Archivists and Remote Users in the Digital Age

SUMMARY

Archive repository web pages have become more sophisticated in the past several years, and information about repository holdings is often readily available online. However, so long as full archival records are not available electronically, archivists will have to contend with the increase in reference requests from remote users. The author surveyed one hundred university archives web pages to examine the current availability of archival records on the Web and to explore the possible effects of this presence on archivists' efforts to provide remote users with access to repository holdings through “ask an archivist” forms, electronic mail, and other modes of communication.     

Reference Assistance to Remote Users

Abstract

This article identifies and discusses the particular information needs of the growing community of remote users of academic libraries. In addressing the practical considerations of providing reference assistance to this group, the authors concentrate on telephone and e-mail reference, the use of video technology and the World Wide Web. The article also discusses the importance of having a dedicated distance education librarian to ensure that the needs of remote library users are given high priority.     

Virtual Reference

Abstract

Explores virtual reference as a new career opportunity for librarians. Asks if this is a good, long career path, or if it will careen virtual reference librarians off into the slough of despond. The skills needed for the traditional reference librarian are compared to those needed by the virtual reference librarian; the challenges and advantages of working virtual versus traditional reference are identified; the types of questions and resources used in providing virtual reference service are discussed; and the types of interaction with the patrons are explored. The skills needed to manage and evaluate virtual reference services are also articulated.
