高校图书馆微平台服务现状与运营策略研究

微平台是指微博和微信两种网络社交平台。文章从微博与微信的传播特征出发,总结出微博与微信在高校图书馆应用中的优势和不足,并结合实际工作,对高校图书馆微平台服务现状进行个案分析,指出其存在的问题,最后提出高校图书馆微平台的运营策略。     

Wake up Information Literacy Instruction: Ideas for Student Engagement

In this article, three librarians from Santa Fe College, the community college winner of the 2015 ACRL Excellence in Academic Libraries Award, share their successful work in information literacy instruction. While the ACRL award is given for overall achievement, this article focuses upon their creative and varied approaches to instruction, incorporating a wide blend of strategies to reach students across the college. Beginning with targeted approaches to virtual instruction, including broad use of the flipped classroom model, and building in active learning techniques, the librarians at Santa Fe College have built an instruction program that could serve as a model to community college libraries across the country.     

A Human Resources Dilemma? Emergent Themes in the Experiences of Part-Time Librarians

Although many newly-graduated librarians are applying for and accepting part-time library employment after graduation, little research has been done into what working part-time means for these early career librarians. This article, based on a survey of recent LIS graduates who have worked part-time, provides a snapshot of part-time library employment and the advantages and disadvantages it affords to new librarians. This information is particularly relevant in light of the difficult job market for entry-level librarians. All of the surveyed librarians have worked in at least one part-time professional or paraprofessional position in a library after receiving their degree. Many of these respondents describe holding multiple part-time positions and receiving low salaries and few, if any, employment benefits. The themes documented in the open-ended short answers of these part-time librarians will help to guide further research into the professional and personal impact of part-time employment.     

和谐社会建设中我国农村居民体育需求问题研究

通过文献资料调研、问卷调查等方法,研究了和谐社会建设中我国农村居民体育需求的特点、原因及发展机遇。我国农村居民体育需求基本处于满足基本生理需求层面,具有支付能力的享受和发展层面的体育需求还处于较低水平。农村居民低消费水平决定了低体育消费。农村居民生活水平不高是制约体育需求水平发展的根本原因。在构建和谐社会中新农村建设为我国农村体育需求的发展提供了政策支持,城市化建设为我国农村体育需求提供了发展方向。构建和谐社会中农村体育建设主要应以政府投入建设公共体育设施为主,同时,进一步提高农民收入,改变农村居民消费观念,培育多元化消费主体,致力于使广大农村居民的体育需求向更高层次即享受与发展方向发展。     

Health information seeking behaviour: the librarian's role in supporting digital and health literacy

This paper is based on Rachel Butler's dissertation carried out at the University of Sheffield as part of the MA Library and Information Services Management. The study examines people's online health information seeking skills, with the specific aim to identify how libraries and health services can work together in supporting digital and health literacy. A survey approach is used to explore online searching habits as well as librarian and health professionals’ views on health literacy. The key findings indicate that whilst the majority of respondents consider themselves to be health literate, there was an overall agreement that effective education and support could be achieved through the collaboration between libraries and health services, and specifically to signpost information and to provide targeted education. The limitations of the research for dissertation are recognised leading to recommendations that further study focuses on the impact of signposting and education on health literacy.F.J.     

石油价格波动对中国城乡居民消费水平的差异性影响研究

石油价格波动对我国城乡居民消费水平的变化有重要影响。基于计量经济模型和时变状态空间模型,采用我国2000年6月-2014年5月的时间序列数据,就石油价格波动对我国城乡居民消费水平的长短期影响效力、影响时滞和动态时变效率进行了分析。研究结果表明:在长期和短期内,石油价格波动对我国城乡居民消费水平均造成正向影响,且对城镇居民消费水平的影响效力更为显著;石油价格波动对城乡居民消费水平的平均影响时滞分别为5个月和4个月;城乡居民消费水平对石油价格变动的时变弹性起伏较大,且城镇居民消费水平对石油价格变动的时变弹性在总体上要大于农村居民消费水平对石油价格变动的时变弹性。并就上述研究结论,从调整石油定价机制、建立健全预警机制和加强对居民的政策扶持等三个方面提出了政策建议。     

高校图书馆馆员困境及发展分析

高校的发展离不开图书馆的支持辅助,一支优秀的馆员队伍是图书馆开展工作的重要前提,如何加大培养馆员的力度,积极创造和完善工作学习环境,为他们的发展创造和提供条件成为图书馆发展的前提。文章分析了高校图书馆员发展面临的困难以及整个图书馆界目前的困境,并针对以上问题进行了研究。

Reference by Your Side: Redesigning the Library Help Desk

ABSTRACT

This bibliographic essay examines recent (1994–2006) research into the evaluation of reference effectiveness. Different methods for evaluating traditional in-person reference services are compared and contrasted from an unobtrusive or obtrusive methodology perspective, including those that use the “Willingness to Return” factor and the Wisconsin-Ohio Reference Evaluation Program (WOREP). A review of emerging trends is provided as well as recommendations for future research.
