A potential weakness of quantitative methods is the intrusive nature of testing in general, and pretesting specifically. The Solomon four-group design ameliorates this difficulty, but because of statistical issues there are few published examples. W. Braver and Braver (1988) suggested the use of meta-analytic Stouffer's Z to combine the data from all four groups. Sawilowsky and Markman (1990a, 1990b, 1990c, 1990d) and Braver and W. Braver (1990a, 1990b) exchanged differing opinions on this approach. The present study is a Monte Carlo demonstration that the experiment-wise error rate inflates nearly triple nominal alpha. However, when not conducted as conditional tests, traditional procedures are more powerful than this meta-analytic approach, despite the ability of Stouffer's Z to combine all available data into a single statistic.  相似文献

Confirmatory factor analytic procedures are routinely implemented to provide evidence of measurement invariance. Current lines of research focus on the accuracy of common analytic steps used in confirmatory factor analysis for invariance testing. However, the few studies that have examined this procedure have done so with perfectly or near perfectly fitting models. In the present study, the authors examined procedures for detecting simulated test structure differences across groups under model misspecification conditions. In particular, they manipulated sample size, number of factors, number of indicators per factor, percentage of a lack of invariance, and model misspecification. Model misspecification was introduced at the factor loading level. They evaluated three criteria for detection of invariance, including the chi-square difference test, the difference in comparative fit index values, and the combination of the two. Results indicate that misspecification was associated with elevated Type I error rates in measurement invariance testing.  相似文献

调节焦点理论认为个体具有两种不同的调节焦点:促进性调节焦点和防御性调节焦点。探讨领导与下属的调节焦点对下属的任务绩效和情境绩效的影响作用,采用领导与下属配对样本进行调研,样本包括249对领导和下属。研究结果表明:(1)下属的促进性调节焦点对其情境绩效中的人际促进和工作奉献两个维度均具有显著影响作用,下属的防御性调节焦点对其任务绩效具有显著影响作用;(2)领导者的促进性调节焦点对下属情境绩效中的人际促进维度具有显著影响作用,领导者的防御性调节焦点对下属任务绩效具有显著影响作用;(3)领导者与下属之间在促进性调节焦点上的匹配通过领导-下属交换的中介作用影响下属的情境绩效。  相似文献

The World Wide Web possesses unique characteristics that distinguish it in important ways from traditional commercial communications environments. Because the Web presents a fundamentally different environment for marketing activities than traditional media, conventional marketing activities are becoming transformed, as they are often difficult to implement in their present form. In this article, we discuss the idea that these changes portend an evolution in the ''marketing concept'' and argue that in order for marketing efforts to be successful in this new medium, a new business paradigm is required. In this new approach, the marketing function must be reconstructed to facilitate electronic commerce in the emerging electronic society underlying the Web.  相似文献

While improving decisional quality is important to businesses, continued use of DMTs is a critical issue for managerial personnel. This problem mainly concerns the willingness of an individual to participate in the behavior. It can be further defined in a routine-based working behavior. This problem essentially involves three key issues, task fit, technology use, and habit. This study therefore integrates task-technology fit (TTF) model, expectation–confirmation mode (ECM), and habit, to examine the determinants of continued use of DMTs. Prior studies have focused on intention to use DMTs in the first time and only considered part of the three issues for identifying the determinants. 285 respondents from managerial personnel were collected to empirically evaluate this research model. The three issues are all important in influencing continuance use intention of DMTs. In particular, the task-technology fit indicates a direct effect on two factors of the technology use issue, user satisfaction and perceived usefulness, and an indirect effect on continuance use intention. User satisfaction and perceived usefulness, and habit are the key predictors of continuance use intention.  相似文献
