根据电网对气象的特殊需求,研制了一套远程气象服务系统。通过对气象信息的采集、加工、分发和传输等来实现系统功能。Internet技术应用于远程气象服务系统的研制中。     

一种基于内容规则的网页去噪算法*

提出一种基于内容规则的网页净化算法。包含两部分,先提出一种同层表间的比较迭代算法,通过迭代的方式对于网页中的噪声内容进行层层剥离。为进一步判断网页中锚文本与网页主题的相关性,又提出一种基于修正的编辑距离的计算锚文本的主题相似性的算法,在一定程度上考虑了网页的语义因素。该算法具有更高的准确度,同时具有很低的时间复杂度。实验结果表明,在对海量网页进行净化处理时,算法具有良好的效果。     

The present status of library services to children and young adults in Japanese public libraries and their future

ABSTRACT

Both Children’s services and Young Adult (YA) services have been recognized as essential in Japanese public libraries. This article reports on the present status of Children’s services and YA services in Japanese public libraries, based on the results of several investigations. These studies show that children’s services in Japanese public libraries already are generally popular. On the other hand, this article indicates that YA services in Japanese public libraries are gradually improving, due to the national recognition of the importance of YA library services. Examples of good practices in Children’s and YA services in Japanese public libraries are described and analyzed to identify the common themes that flow through these innovations. This article concludes with observations about the future involving library services for children and YAs, from the viewpoints of face-to-face traditional services and indirect services through their official websites.     

Making the Internet Easier to Use

Few can deny the value of the Internet, but its rapid growth and chaotic nature make it difficult to find useful resources. Some librarians are making this task easier in a very specific way: by creating World Wide Web (WWW) home pages. This takes a World Wide Web server, but it is easy to do and makes the Internet more navigable. Some smaller schools, like Willamette University, have done a particularly good job at it.     

Reflecting Usability Engineering Goals in Interlibrary Loan User Interfaces

Many interlibrary loan services have an online Web presence, ranging from a page of policy information to an entire Web-based system dedicated to providing interlibrary loan services. This article summarizes key themes and works in user-centered design theory and suggests ways to apply usability engineering goals to designing interlibrary loan online interfaces.
