A magnetic-separated catalyst of chitosan-palladium complex (Fe3O4-CS-Pd) based on chitosan coated Fe3O4 microspheres was prepared by the “bottom-up” approach. The catalytic behavior of the catalyst in the cross coupling reaction of acrylic acid (AA) with iodobenzene (ArI) was investigated.
