中、美两国企业新产品开发方面的比较研究

以研究中美两国企业成功开发新产品的过程及其绩效结果为目的,在文献研究的基础上,首先,构建了基于"能力-优势位置-绩效"观点的成功开发新产品的模型架构,并提出研究假设,其次,利用时中国和美国企业调研的数据对模型进行了实证检验,再次,对比分析了中美两国企业新产品开发的过程和影响因素的作用,最后,探究了中关企业新产品开发过程中的异同.研究结果表明,中国企业产品创新影响因素的作用和影响过程与美国等发达国家有着大体相同的过程路径,但一些主要影响因素对于企业成功开发新产品所起作用的强弱程度异于美国.     

Misalignment between post-secondary education demand and labour market supply: Preliminary insight from young adults on the evolving school to work transition

Most research on labour market outcomes and higher education finds a positive relationship. This qualitative research sought to better understand how higher educational attainment contributes to employment outcomes from a subsample (n = 15) of a larger study (N = 36) on youth labour market attachment among minority, low socioeconomic status young adults. Respondents described: (1) Employment opportunities not being aligned to the educational background of some young adults; and (2) there were no direct links between educational institutions and the labour market in supporting successful employment. These findings suggest a misalignment between educational demand and labour market supply.

SATISFACTION WITH CAREER PLANNING AND JOB PLACEMENT SERVICES AT TWO‐YEAR PUBLIC COLLEGES

The purpose of this study was to examine 2‐year public college students'satisfaction with career planning and job placement services offered at their college by gender and job cluster. The 2,873 students included in this study attended 212‐year public colleges in 11 states, predominantely in the Midwest. The results revealed significant differences in students'satisfaction with career planningandjob placement services. Women were more satisfied with these services than were their male counterparts. Students in the Business Operations job cluster were significantly more satisfied with career planning and job placement than were students in other job clusters. Students were significantly more satisfied with career planning services they received than with job placement services.     

A review of teacher development reforms in Indonesian secondary science: The effectiveness of practical work in biology

Science teaching in Indonesia has undergone major reforms since independence. This paper examines the role of practical activities in secondary science from an international perspective and contrasts this with a developing country perspective. In examining major curriculum and teacher training reforms in Indonesia, continuing influences on science education from industrialised countries are acknowledged; however, nlike many other developing countries, Indonesia has essentially implemented curriculum and teacher training reforms using a pool of overseas trained senior teachers and locally trained personnel. A number of research studies on biology practical work in Indonesia suggest that practical activities in biology are more effective in enhancing student cognitive achievement, science process skills and problem solving abilities than traditional didactic classroom approaches.
