Implementation of integrated services – the example of family centres in North Rhine-Westphalia

This paper deals with the implementation of integrated services providing early support for young children and their families. The integration of services is considered to have highly positive effects on the development of children and on the prevention of child neglect and maltreatment. Therefore, childcare centres have been developed into family centres offering different services in order to foster this integration. The implementation of integrated services requires adequate governance structures on different levels. The external level concerns the framework the state offers for the integration of services. On an intermediate level, the cooperation between different institutions on the local level is to be considered. The internal level is related to questions of management, organisational development and team building. Based on experiences from family centres in the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany), the paper focuses on these different aspects of the governance of integrated services.

Der nachfolgende Beitrag setzt sich mit der Frage auseinander, welche rechtlichen Grenzen für die über Internetportale erfolgende Verbreitung von Kritik an Hochschuldozenten bestehen. Dabei wird das Portal meinprof.de in den Blick genommen, auf dem Studierende ihre Dozenten und deren Veranstaltungen bewerten und kommentieren k?nnen. überprüft wird die Zul?ssigkeit der Verbreitung der Kritik und Kommentare am Ma?stab des deutschen und europ?ischen Rechts. Der Beitrag konzentriert sich zwar auf den deutschen Rechtskreis, die behandelte Frage ist wegen des Bestehens des vergleichbaren Portals meinprof.at und der Aknnüpfungen an internationales Recht aber von generellem Interesse. Die rechtliche Beurteilung solcher Plattformen h?ngt davon ab, welche Bedeutung man den Pers?nlichkeitsrechten im Verh?ltnis zur Meinungsfreiheit beimisst. Die Verfasserin pl?diert dafür, den Schutz des allgemeinen Pers?nlichkeitsrechts zu st?rken.     

Facilitating team learning through transformational leadership

This article investigates when and how teams engage in team learning behaviours (TLB). More specifically, it looks into how different leadership styles facilitate TLB by influencing the social conditions that proceed them. 498 healthcare workers from 28 nursery teams filled out a questionnaire measuring the concepts leadership style, TLB, social cohesion and team psychological safety. Analysis was performed using structural equation modelling. The results of this cross-sectional study show that transformational leadership predicts TLB better then laissez-faire leadership, because transformational leadership is primarily related to team psychological safety and only secondarily to social cohesion while for laissez-faire leadership it works the other way around. Transformational leadership matters because it facilitates psychological safety in the team.
