An important goal of any sexuality education program is to support youth and young adults to develop a positive self-image and develop competence and confidence in skills needed to express sexuality and develop positive relationships. For youth and young adults with disabilities, sexuality education is offered far less often than for their same aged peers without disabilities. This article describes a three-step process for developing specially designed instruction in sexuality education using principles of instructional design to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.  相似文献

The quantization error of a digital filter employing fixed-point arithmetic with sign-magnitude truncation is analyzed. The effect of coefficient quantization is also included. Exact analyses are presented first for Gaussian, sinusoidal and Gaussian plus sinusoidal inputs. Quasi-linearization is then employed to yield a simple computation method of the output noise variance. The resulting expression contains parameters that depend on the input signal statistics. An upper bound is given that is independent of these statistics. Explicit expressions are given for the second-order sections of the digital filter realized in the D1 and D2 forms together with a general expression for the cascade connection of the second-order sections.  相似文献

In contrast to existing research that has typically addressed the process from example generation to proof construction, this study aims at enhancing empirical examination after proof construction leading to revision of statements and proofs in secondary school geometry. The term “empirical examination” refers to the use of examples or diagrams to investigate whether a statement is true or a proof is valid. Although empirical examination after proof construction is significant in school mathematics in terms of cultivating students’ critical thinking and achieving authentic mathematical practice, how this activity can be fostered remains unclear. This paper shows the strength of a particular kind of mathematical task, proof problems with diagrams, and teachers’ roles in implementing the tasks, by analysing two classroom-based interventions with students in the eighth and ninth grades. In the interventions, the tasks and the teachers’ actions successfully prompted the students to discover a case rejecting a proof and a case refuting a statement, modify the proof, properly restrict the domain of the statement by disclosing its hidden condition, and invent a more general statement that was true even for the refutation of the original statement.  相似文献

Modern neuroscience increasingly relies on 3D models to study neural circuitry, nerve regeneration, and neural disease. Several different biofabrication approaches have been explored to create 3D neural tissue model structures. Among them, 3D bioprinting has shown to have great potential to emerge as a high-throughput/high precision biofabrication strategy that can address the growing need for 3D neural models. Here, we have reviewed the design principles for neural tissue engineering. The main challenge to adapt printing technologies for biofabrication of neural tissue models is the development of neural bioink, i.e., a biomaterial with printability and gelation properties and also suitable for neural tissue culture. This review shines light on a vast range of biomaterials as well as the fundamentals of 3D neural tissue printing. Also, advances in 3D bioprinting technologies are reviewed especially for bioprinted neural models. Finally, the techniques used to evaluate the fabricated 2D and 3D neural models are discussed and compared in terms of feasibility and functionality.  相似文献

Explicit expressions of transfer functions for digital tan filters with low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, and band-stop characteristics approximating given design specifications are advanced. The higher order transfer function satisfying the design specification is expressed as the product of first-order and second-order filter sections of identical forms but with different coefficient values. All coefficients of these low-order filter sections are expressed in explicit forms related simply to the specification values. Thus, the result developed can be easily applied for the cascade or time-sharing realization. The low-order filter section developed here can be implemented with the fewest multipliers.The design formulae for Butterworth, Chebyshev, inverse Chebyshev and elliptic approximations are included. The transfer functions for all these filters are expressed in the same form of low-order filter section with different coefficient values.  相似文献

In this study, we wished to investigate the factors that determine the direction of the spin axis of a pitched baseball. Nineteen male baseball pitchers were recruited to pitch fastballs. The pitching motion was recorded with a three-dimensional motion analysis system (1000?Hz), and the orientations of the hand segment in a global coordinate system were calculated using Euler rotation angles. Reflective markers were attached to the ball, and the direction of the spin axis was calculated on the basis of their positional changes. The spin axis directions were significantly correlated with the orientations of the hand just before ball release. The ball is released from the fingertip and rotates on a plane that is formed by the palm and fingers; the spin axis of the ball is parallel to this plane. The lift force of the pitched baseball is largest when the angular and translational velocity vectors are mutually perpendicular. Furthermore, to increase the lift forces for the fastballs, the palm must face home plate.  相似文献

Time differences between medalists at Olympic or World Cup alpine ski races are often less than 0.01 s. One factor that could affect these small differences is the line taken between the numerous gates passed through while speeding down the ski slope. The determination of the ‘quickest line’ is therefore critical to winning races. In this study the quickest lines are calculated by direct optimal control theory which converts an optimal control problem into a parameter optimization problem that is solved using a nonlinear programming method. Specifically, the problem is described in terms of an objective function in which state and control variables are implicitly involved. The objective function is the time between the starting point and finishing gate, while state variables are positions of the ski-skier systems on a ski slope, rotational angles of skis, velocities, and rotational velocity at a discrete time, i.e., a node. The control variable at each node is the skier-controlled edging angle between the ski sole and snow surface. Equations of motion of the ski-skier system on a ski slope are numerically satisfied at the midpoint between neighbouring nodes, and the original problem is converted into a nonlinear programming problem with equality and inequality constraints. The problem is solved by the sequential quadratic programming method in which numerical calculations are carried out using the MATLAB Optimization Toolbox. Numerical calculations are presented to determine the quickest lines of an uphill and a downhill ski turn with a starting point, first gate, and second gate (finish line) having been successfully carried out. The quickest line through four gates could not be calculated due to numerical difficulty. Instead, the descent line was respectively calculated for an uphill and downhill turn and simply added, giving a resultant time that represents an upper bound.  相似文献
