在冷兵器时代，军队行军强调速度对作战胜负具有极为重要作用。因此，我国古代兵家十分重视加强对军队的体能训练。跑跳项目就是当时训练提高体能的重要手段，在军事理论和军事体育实践中积累了宝贵经验。春秋战国时期军队的跑跳训练便是冷兵器时代军队体能训练的典型。     

Unique unto itself: The records of the Federal Bureau of Investigation 1908 to 1945

This paper addresses several misunderstandings about the nature of the FBI's Central Records System. Although depicted in popular culture and much of FBI historiography as a tool for the Cold War suppression of American radicals, the FBI's records system grew out of Department of Justice systems already in place before J. Edgar Hoover became Director in 1924. The system grew in size and complexity according to the demands placed on it by the changing priorities of the FBI's criminal and intelligence missions, guided by a “progressive” drive for efficiency through centralization.     

Automated Classification to Improve the Efficiency of Weeding Library Collections

Previous studies have shown that weeding a library collection benefits patrons and increases circulation rates. However, the time required to review the collection and make weeding decisions presents a formidable obstacle. This study empirically evaluated methods for automatically classifying weeding candidates. A data set containing 80,346 items from a large-scale weeding project running from 2011 to 2014 at Wesleyan University was used to train six machine learning classifiers to predict a weeding decision of either ‘Keep’ or ‘Weed’ for each candidate. The study found statistically significant agreement (p?=?0.001) between classifier predictions and librarian judgments for all classifier types. The naive Bayes and linear support vector machine classifiers had the highest recall (fraction of items weeded by librarians that were identified by the algorithm), while the k-nearest-neighbor classifier had the highest precision (fraction of recommended candidates that librarians had chosen to weed). The variables found to be most relevant were: librarian and faculty votes for retention, item age, and the presence of copies in other libraries.     

民国时期中美图书馆交流史序说:研究综述、理论基础与历史分期

民国时期的中美图书馆交流史不仅是理解中国图书馆与图书馆学缘起的重要议题,在回应图书馆领域史学研究的“双重困境”方面,也具有其特殊的价值。梳理民国时期中美图书馆交流史的相关文献和研究主题发现,本课题难点在于庞杂的线索、社群与诸多政治、经济因素的介入等。由此,本研究吸收“世界体系理论”“书籍交流圈”等跨学科的思想和方法,提出一个由宏观、中观和微观三个层次组成的理论视角,并阐述这一理论视角如何转化为具体的研究方法,以提高学界对民国时期中美图书馆交流史研究的整体理解和把控能力。研究发现,“专业交往”到“文化外交”的视角渐变是民国时期中美图书馆交流的核心轴线,以此可以将这段历史分为四个时期,帮助我们把握不同时期的交往脉络、主要成就和基本特点。表1。参考文献73。     

基于案例分析的美国顶级高校智库图书馆服务研究

文章采用案例分析方法,从智库图书馆员与空间服务、资源检索与借阅服务、参考咨询与学术指导服务、特色馆藏与其他特色服务等方面对4家美国顶级高校智库图书馆进行调查,总结出开展智库图书馆服务的若干启示,包括设置专职智库图书馆员、拓展智库图书馆空间用途、合理规划学术指导服务、充分发挥特藏优势、创新智库图书馆构建方式等。     

中美基础教育课外体育活动的比较研究

运用文献资料法、访谈法、比较分析法和逻辑法，对中美基础教育课外体育活动的价值取向、政策文件、组织管理、场地设施、运动时间及实施效果进行梳理、分析和比较，从中得出以下启示：要坚持课外体育活动健身育人的价值；学校体育政策要向课外体育活动倾斜，并注重政策的落实；构建课外体育活动的三级体系，促进家校社三方联动；加快社区体育建设，引导体育消费升级；布置体育作业，保证课外运动时间；立足实际问题，让学生从课外体育活动中受益。以邻为镜比较优劣得失，但不能生搬硬套，要从传统体育文化中吸收养分，促进青少年身心健康，促进我国课外体育活动改革与发展。     

美、日、韩终身教育发展的经验及对我国的启示

建立终身教育体系已成为当今世界各国教育改革和发展的共同趋势。美国、日本、韩国等发达国家已经建立了较为完备的终身教育体系,他国在法律保证、制度保障、社会参与、资源建设等方面的即有经验,对于我国构建中国特色的终身教育体系提供了宝贵的启示。     

哀牢濮人衍变与生态适应性的传承

濮人曾经是古哀牢王国的主体民族之一,在云南境内有广泛的分布,但由于政治和战争的原因,以及汉民族的迁入,哀牢濮人经历了漫长的迁徙,分化为多个少数民族。但哀牢濮人们在生产和生活实践中自发形成的朴素的生态适应性并没有因民族衍变而消失,而是超越环境的变迁顽强地传承下来,成为我们今天调适人与自然环境,处理人地关系的很好借鉴。     

A U.S.-Chinese Comparison of Affectionate Communication in Parent-Child Relationships

Affectionate communication is central to the maintenance of relational closeness, but it is also subject to relational, contextual, and cultural factors. This study was designed to examine the cultural effects on affectionate communication in parent-child relationships in the United States and China. Results indicated that Chinese fathers and mothers expressed less verbal, nonverbal, and supportive affection to their children than American parents. Both Chinese and American parents expressed affection to their children more through supportive behaviors than through verbal and nonverbal behaviors. In both cultures, mothers engaged in more verbal, nonverbal, and supportive affection with their children than fathers.
