顾拜旦体育思想研究系列之二--顾拜旦体育思想的形成和发展

顾拜旦体育思想是继承前人的哲学思想和社会实践而形成的对体育、文化与教育相结合的奥林匹克运动的总结。它的来源有 :希腊哲学与古代奥运 ;文艺复兴与人文主义 ;人类和平与理想主义。顾拜旦体育思想也是适应世界潮流而不断发展的 ,有的是在他去世后 ,继承者在业余主义、妇女参加和政治干预等问题上有所发展。     

顾拜旦构建了现代奥林匹克运动的理论大厦

通过对现代奥林匹克运动产生的背景和顾拜旦的言论等文献的分析,认为:顾拜旦把人的和谐发展与世界的和平发展作为现代奥林匹克运动的出发点,通过奥林匹克的文化活动培养和教育青年.为了保证奥林匹克运动理想的实现,他设计了各种仪式、文化活动,制定了各种制度保证奥林匹克运动的神圣性、独立性和纯洁性.顾拜旦架构的奥林匹克运动既继承了古代奥运会的宗教精神、教育价值和审美艺术,又根据历史条件赋予时代精神,提出了崇高的奋斗目标,使现代奥林匹克运动连接了古代文化、现代精神和未来理想,成为促进人类的和谐、和平发展的社会文化活动.     

Technological research in the EU is less efficient than the world average. EU research policy risks Europeans’ future

We have studied the efficiency of research in the EU by a percentile-based citation approach that analyzes the distribution of country papers among the world papers. Going up in the citation scale, the frequency of papers from efficient countries increases while the frequency from inefficient countries decreases. In the percentile-based approach, this trend, which is uniform at any citation level, is measured by the e_p index that equals the P_{top 1%}/P_{top 10%} ratio. By using the e_p index we demonstrate that EU research on fast-evolving technological topics is less efficient than the world average and that the EU is far from being able to compete with the most advanced countries. The e_p index also shows that the USA is well ahead of the EU in both fast- and slow-evolving technologies, which suggests that the advantage of the USA over the EU in innovation is due to low research efficiency in the EU. In accord with some previous studies, our results show that the European Commission’s ongoing claims about the excellence of EU research are based on a wrong diagnosis. The EU must focus its research policy on the improvement of its inefficient research. Otherwise, the future of Europeans is at risk.

保罗·德曼的"盲识与洞见"理论常常被批评者误解为实行两套标准的结果。通过认真分析后发现,"盲识与洞见"其实具有两个层面:第一个是"在场与缺席"的形而上的现象层面,第二个是语言"所知与所行"悖论统一的反形而上的非现象层面,前者是后者的表现,后者是前者的本质。     

鲁迅与塞万提斯小说的现代性建构

塞万提斯和鲁迅都在不同意义上开创了现代文学，他们的小说创作在内容和形式上实现了双重现代性建构。本文对塞万提斯和鲁迅在现代小说创作中独特的开创意义与内在源泉进行比较，试图凸现他们在世界文学史上的独特价值，认识文学创作的本质内蕴。     

Una Antorcha de Esperanza: Mexico and the 1955 Pan-American Games

Abstract

While most equate Mexican Olympism with the 1968 Olympic Games, few know the drama of the event that laid its groundwork. From the creation of the Ministry of Public Education in 1921, cultural and military leaders heavily invested in sports infrastructure to help regenerate its rural masses, but by the 1940s, post-war modernizers sought the hosting of large international athletic events to boost its prestige, foment national pride, and prove to the world it was ready to springboard into modernity. This paper recounts the triumphs, betrayals, corruption, and politics of Pan-American sport and the Olympic movement in Mexico in the 1940s and 1950s that culminated in the improbable success of the 1955 Mexico City Pan-American Games.     

Olympics,Media and Politics: The First Olympic Ideas in Brazilian Society During the Late Nineteenth and Early Twentieth Centuries

Abstract

The Olympic Games of the modern era are powerful global mediated events. Olympic cities receive an overwhelming examination by world media. As the 2016 Olympic host, Rio de Janeiro has been given an enormous amount of attention, both by the international media and researchers who looked at the urban spaces of Rio, the struggles over the hegemony of the city and the social meanings the Olympics bring to the host city’s citizens. However, studies over the historical relationship between Rio, sport and media are rare. This paper addresses the historical uses of the term Olympic by Brazilian media during the late nineteenth and the early twentieth centuries. By looking at the main articles in the newspapers of these periods, we examine the extent to which ideologies over sports have changed the way the Olympics were represented in Brazil’s national imaginary. We demonstrate how the use of expressions associated with the Olympics historically generated a closer appreciation of these events by the public. We also show how political authorities appropriated the Olympics for their own benefit. The paper concludes by asking whether or not the historical lessons from the early Olympic ideas in Brazil have been learned by the 2016 Rio Games organizers.
