美国地方性图书馆法研究——以《新泽西州图书馆法》为例

[目的/意义] 通过对美国《新泽西州图书馆法》进行分析和研究,总结出其对我国图书馆立法建设的启示。[方法/过程] 从图书馆的建立和管理、图书馆网络、图书馆经费、图书馆职员、信息资源建设和其他相关规定6个方面对《新泽西州图书馆法》进行全面分析,对比国内6部地方性图书馆法规,发现国内图书馆法规的不足。[结果/结论] 我国图书馆立法建设应注意以下方面的内容:保障图书馆经费,促进图书馆可持续发展;建立委员会管理体制,实行有效的管理;重视图书馆网络建设,促进资源的共建共享;维护读者权益,提升图书馆服务;规范馆员入职要求,提升馆员素质;完善呈缴本制度,促进政府信息公开;科学制定法律内容,增强法律的可操作性;建立绩效评估制度,促进图书馆的发展。     

Acculturation process of Colombian immigrants into the American culture in Bergen County,New Jersey

This research was conducted to analyze the acculturation process of Colombian immigrants in the Hackensack area of Bergen County, New Jersey. The instrument used to measure acculturation was a questionnaire developed by Szapocznik et al. (1978). The subjects were 218 Colombian immigrants placed in age categories from 13 to 68 years, and 70 native American high school students, as the reference group. The study addressed three questions: (1) Is there any relationship between acculturation of the immigrants and the length of time they reside m the new culture? (2) Does age affect the process of acculturation? (3) Is sex a factor in the process of acculturation? The results of the study showed that (1) acculturation appeared to progress as a function of the length of time Colombian immigrants resided in the host culture (2) the degree of acculturation appeared to be a function of the age of the Colombian immigrants, and (3) generally, males appeared to acculturate more than females. Young males appeared to acculturate more than young females on the behavioral scale. However, in the value scale, young Colombian females appeared to move more readily toward the American reference groups than did young Colombian mates.     

On the stability of stochastic chemical system

The stability of stochastic chemical system is considered. The definitions of almost sure stability and mean square stability and the corresponding stability theorems are presented and discussed. Examples concerning the stability of a two tank water heating system and a well-stirred reactor tank with random flows are studied in detail.     

The Impact of teacher behavior,teacher sex,and student sex upon student self-disclosure

The effects of systematically varied teacher verbal and nonverbal evaluative behavior upon student willingness to self-disclose were studied within an experimental microlesson. Subjects were 126 sixth-grade students who were removed from their classrooms to participate in a vocabulary lesson with one of the four experimental teachers (two male and two female). Within each experimental condition, the teacher employed one of four evaluative styles: (1) verbally and nonverbally positive, (2) verbally positive and nonverbally negative, (3) verbally negative and nonverbally positive, or (4) verbally and nonverbally negative. The data analysis indicated that teachers' verbal behavior influenced self-disclosure. The magnitude of student self-disclosure scores was a direct function of the positiveness of teacher verbal behavior. Nonverbal behavior also influenced self-disclosure, interacting with student sex. This effect varied across individual teachers, however, and no consistent pattern was evident.
