小鼠力竭运动后GSH变化及MDA、ATP与肌肉机能恢复关系的研究

小鼠经 1 0天灌喂中药合剂后 ,安静时小鼠肌 MDA值明显降低 ,GSH值升高。力竭运动后 GSH、ATP、MDA值的恢复明显加快 ,其中 GSH值的加快提示 ,在恢复期内 GSH的变化可能对肌肉机能的恢复有重要意义。     

《硕鼠》"逝将去女"正义

<诗经@魏风@硕鼠>"逝将去女"之"逝",注者多解作"誓"的假借,释义为表示决心的"誓言"或"发誓",这种解释值得商榷.本文认为,根据<诗经>的用字体例,用"逝,往也"即"离去"、"逃离"这个意义来释"逝将去女",不但词义有据,情理通顺,而且比诸多注释家释"逝"为"誓"的假借,同诗的主旨更切,于意更长.     

Ginsenosides stimulated the proliferation of mouse spermatogonia involving activation of protein kinase C

The effect of ginsenosides on proliferation of type A spermatogonia was investigated in 7-day-old mice.Spermatogonia were characterized by c-kit expression and cell proliferation was assessed by immunocytochemical demonstration of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA).After 72-h culture,Sertoli cells formed a confluent monolayer to which numerous spermatogonial colonies attached.Spermatogonia were positive for c-kit staining and showed high proliferating activity by PCNA expression.Ginsenosides (1.0～10 μg/ml) significantly stimulated proliferation of spermatogonia.Activation of protein kinase C (PKC) elicited proliferation of spermatogonia at 10-8 to 107 mol/L and the PKC inhibitor H7 inhibited this effect.Likewise,ginsenosides-stimulated spermatogonial proliferation was suppressed by combined treatment of H7.These results indicate that the proliferating effect ofginsenosides on mouse type A spermatogonia might be mediated by a mechanism involving the PKC signal transduction pathway.

Complex pathologies of angiotensin II-induced abdominal aortic aneurysms

Angiotensin II (AngII) is the primary bioactive peptide of the renin angiotensin system that plays a critical role in many cardiovascular diseases. Subcutaneous infusion of AngII into mice induces the development of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs). Like human AAAs, AngII-induced AAA tissues exhibit progressive changes and considerable heterogeneity. This complex pathology provides an impediment to the quantification of aneurysmal tissue composition by biochemical and immunostaining techniques. Therefore, while the mouse model of AngII-induced AAAs provides a salutary approach to studying the mechanisms of the evolution of AAAs in humans, meaningful interpretation of mechanisms requires consideration of the heterogeneous nature of the diseased tissue.     

氟苯尼考对小鼠免疫器官毒性和肌肉理化特性的影响

探讨氟苯尼考的小鼠免疫器官和脾淋巴细胞毒性及其对小鼠肌肉理化特性的影响,本研究采用高、中、低剂量(40 mg/kg、20 mg/kg、10 mg/kg)对小鼠连续7d腹腔注射给药,每日一次;通过计算小鼠胸腺和脾脏器指数、观察脾淋巴细胞形态、测量肌肉蛋白含量和pH值等做为实验内容.结果显示:与对照组比较,胸腺和脾脏器指数除高剂量组数值明显减小外(P＜0.05),中、低剂量组对应值降低都不明显(P＞0.05);肌肉蛋白的含量和pH值下降不明显(P>0.05);脾淋巴细胞形态除高剂量组形态异常外,其余各组变化不大.说明氟苯尼考对小鼠有一定的免疫毒性,对肌肉蛋白质的含量、肌肉pH影响较小.     

The Shaman and the ISness of TO BE

Russell Hoban has compared himself as a writer to a shaman—willing to admit the unseen and making himself a medium for the quality of the unseen in his novels. This article explores Hoban’s highly-regarded The Mouse and His Child (1967) with this comparison in mind. The writer interweaves Mircea Eliade’s study of shamanism with an examination of the experiences of the protagonists of the novel—The Mouse and His Child. In so doing, she reveals many elements of shamanism in the text which, it is argued, reaches a conclusion which is consistent with the central tenets of the Indian philosophical system of Advaita. Sharada Bhanu is a lecturer in the English Department of Stella Maris College, Chennai. Her research interests include establishing connections between Advaita and fantasy fiction for children and the devotional poetry of many cultures

Prebiotic oligosaccharides change the concentrations of short-chain fatty acids and the microbial population of mouse bowel

The purpose of this study was to clarify effects of selected oligosaccharides on concentrations of cecal short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), total large bowel wet weight and wall weight, and cecal microbiota levels in mice. Mice were respectively given gavage of selected fructooligosaccharides (FOS), galactooligosaccharides (GOS), mannanoligosaccharides (MOS), and chitooligosaccharides (COS) [1000 mg/(kg body weight.d)]. Control group was given physiological saline solution. After 14 d treatment, SCFAs and lactate in mice cecum were significantly increased (P<0.05) by intake of oligosaccharides, especially FOS and GOS. Thus, providing these oligosaccharides as ingredients in nutritional formulas may benefit the gastrointestinal tract.     

一种侧面指点杆鼠标的设计
