Can constrained relevance feedback and display strategies help users retrieve items on mobile devices?

Searching online information resources using mobile devices is affected by small screens which can display only a fraction of ranked search results. In this paper we investigate whether the search effort can be reduced by means of a simple user feedback: for a screenful of search results the user is encouraged to indicate a single most relevant document. In our approach we exploit the fact that, for small display sizes and limited user actions, we can construct a user decision tree representing all possible outcomes of the user interaction with the system. Examining the trees we can compute an upper limit on relevance feedback performance. In this study we consider three standard feedback algorithms: Rocchio, Robertson/Sparck-Jones (RSJ) and a Bayesian algorithm. We evaluate them in conjunction with two strategies for presenting search results: a document ranking that attempts to maximize information gain from the user’s choices and the top-D ranked documents. Experimental results indicate that for RSJ feedback which involves an explicit feature selection policy, the greedy top-D display is more appropriate. For the other two algorithms, the exploratory display that maximizes information gain produces better results. We conducted a user study to compare the performance of the relevance feedback methods with real users and compare the results with the findings from the tree analysis. This comparison between the simulations and real user behaviour indicates that the Bayesian algorithm, coupled with the sampled display, is the most effective. 小额诉讼程序比传统简易程序更加简化，它以日常化方式进行，并体现了对职权裁量法理的适用。设立小额诉讼程序有一定的法理基础，我国现有简易程序存在诸多不足，无法满足小额纠纷解决之需要。在我国构建小额诉讼程序应明确其适用范围和管辖法院，同时亦应当设立小额诉讼程序的一些特别规定。

白龟山水库周边土壤中微生物的初步调查

应用平板菌落计数法对白龟山水库周边土壤中微生物的数量及其类群进行了初步研究.经调查发现土壤中的微生物类群主要有四大类:好气性细菌、真菌、放线菌和自生固氮菌.其数量与类群主要集中在0~20 cm的表层土中,随着土层加深其数量明显减少.另外也与人类的活动有很大关系.

采用 AU TOU GH2热储计算软件对天津市武清县地热热储进行数值模拟计算 ,分析热储在不同开发利用条件下的特征 .主要针对无回灌和有回灌两种生产情况 ,分析地热热储的温度、压力随时间和距离的变化 ,还分析随地热水的生产 ,地热热储的生产能力、水位和压力的变化以及回灌对生产井的冷却效应

长江三峡是中外闻名的黄金旅游线，具有明显的组合性、团体性、集中性和周期性特征。针对三峡工程二期水位给重庆库区旅游资源、旅游交通、区域关系和游览方式带来的新变化和新问题，从发展目标、战略定位、主要任务、工作重点和开发路径等方面，提出了重庆库区旅游发展的基本思路和在政策扶持、平台构建、开发重点、配套设施、宣传促销、经营管理等方面的对策建议。
