基于科技型企业延期支付政策的衰退期产品订货策略

产品生命周期各个阶段市场需求波动很大,衰退阶段需求下降明显,此时,科技型企业通常允许订货商延期付款以维持市场占有率。考虑变质产品在衰退阶段市场需求随时间线性递减,建立了一种延期支付下的经济订购批量模型。采用仿真方法进行数值分析,结果显示:初始需求量、需求下降因子、信用期对订货策略和库存总成本有不同程度影响,初始需求量和需求下降因子的影响较显著,在制定产品订货策略时予以重点考虑。

The recession as the site of the exceptional: young people,self-determination and social mobility

This paper examines the importance of ‘self-determination’ and ‘hard work’ found within interviews with a group of young people in Manchester, England. The author suggests that moments of apparent contradiction within the interviews have much to offer, particularly when analysed in relation to discussions of inequality and political economy. Data from this paper show that while the young people mostly spoke about work choices in primarily individualistic ways, they used the recession as a means to acknowledge that acquiring jobs simply cannot just be about ‘choice’ or working hard, but is also configured by the market and structural inequality.     

Communicating With Bank Stakeholders During Recession: Why It's Important,Who Is Doing It,and How to Stay in the Loop

This study explores the attitudes and actions of bank managers toward communication spending during recession. Results of this study indicate that organizational leaders cut communication spending early during recession and also erroneously rely on the bank's financials to mitigate irrational customer withdrawals. This research is used to illustrate the need for public librarians to meet the needs of bank stakeholders when their institution ceases to communicate during crises, for academic librarians to educate students in undergraduate and graduate programs regarding heightened information needs during recession, and for corporate librarians to understand a potential avenue for competitive advantage during recession.     

High graduate unemployment rate and Taiwanese undergraduate education

An expansion in higher education in combination with the recent global economic recession has resulted in a high college graduate unemployment rate in Taiwan. This study investigates how the high unemployment rate and financial constraints caused by economic cutbacks have shaped undergraduates’ class choices, job needs, and future income expectations. Therein, the results obtained from a structural equation model indicate that students whose expenditures were most affected by the economic recession were in greater need of paid employment and were also more likely to take practical and credential courses, which resulted in heavier course loads. Clearly, the economic downturn and the consequential high unemployment rate have directed undergraduates to select more practical education, wherein they now prefer classes that are more likely to increase their employability. The results obtained in this study indicate that people use college courses to enhance their competencies and employability. Finally, regardless of the economic situation, female undergraduates expected significantly lower pay after graduation in comparison to their male counterparts.

The satirical value of virtual worlds

Imaginary worlds have been devised by artists and commentators for centuries to focus satirical attention on society’s problems. The increasing sophistication of three‐dimensional graphics software is generating comparable ‘virtual worlds’ for educational usage. Can such worlds play a satirical role suggesting developments in distance education practice and policy? The article examines the emergence of Hinterlife, a cartoon world run by a disarmingly despotic academic known to the real world only by his virtual name, Professor Horace. This article suggests that a healthy dose of satire can help distance education to overcome the problems generated in difficult economic times.

自20世纪50年代末开始,英、法、德、美等发达国家陆续出现了老工业基地衰退的表征。为了调整与改造老工业基地,各国都制定和采取了相应的政策和措施,并取得了许多成功的经验:成立专司部门、机构,制定和实施老工业基地调整与改造的战略规划;政府从产业政策、资金、技术等方面予以支持与援助;进行产业部门结构、产业组织结构的调整;注重环境的治理和保护等。借鉴这些成功经验,并结合我国东北老工业基地的区情、省情,采取有效的对策和具体措施,借以加快我国东北老工业基地的全面振兴。
