《人民日报》英文版(People’s Daily)对中美贸易摩擦报道研究--基于语料库的批评性话语分析

2018年3月22日,美国总统特朗普正式签署美国政府对华贸易备忘录,这标志着“中美贸易战摩擦”的序幕正式拉开。本文以《人民日报》英文版(People’s Daily)为研究对象,用抽样选取的方式将该报纸上从2018年3月22日(星期四)到2019年3月28日(星期四)有关中美贸易摩擦的相关报道全部摘录下来,根据每篇报道的话语特点将其分成三个阶段,以内容分析和基于语料库的批判性话语分析为研究方法,分析得出中美贸易摩擦不同阶段的话语特点,进而得出相应的研究结论,同时提出一些富有实操价值的改进建议,为我国主流报纸更好地向世界传播中国思想、讲好中国故事献计献策。     

用批评语篇分析解读罗斯福的《珍珠港演讲》

批评语篇分析(CDA)是通过分析语篇的语言结构特点及其生成的社会历史背景来揭示语篇中含而不露的意识形态意义,并进而揭示语言、权力和意识形态之间复杂的关系。文章从物质过程、心理过程及存在过程,情态系统,转换系统等角度,运用批评语篇分析的方法——及物性、情态以及转换等对罗斯福的《珍珠港演讲》进行分析,进而揭示其演讲语篇中背后隐藏的意识形态意义。     

Literature Review of Researches on Political Discourses

Political discourse analysis(PDA) has attracted the attention of many linguists both from abroad and at home. The study results are abundant from perspectives of rhetoric, pragmatics, Critical Discourse Analysis(CDA) and cognitive linguistics.But most of these studies are based on small corpora. Besides, researchers at home are reluctant to adopt new theories.     

Critical Discourse Analysis： A Theoretical Framework for Analyzing Mathematics Teaching in Multilingual Classrooms？

The purpose of this article is to develop a framework that can be used to describe and explain how mathematics teachers construct a multilingual classroom and the discourse practices being produced in a mathematics classroom. It conceptualizes the discourse practices used by mathematics teacher educators as they prepare student teachers to teach mathematics. The framework developed here is shaped by Critical Discourse Analysis （CDA） drawn from Fairclough. This provides the theoretical and conceptual tools to examine the discourse practices of mathematics teacher educators and how the）＇ make available these discourse practices for student teachers to draw on. In broad terms, this article examines the discourse practices of the mathematics teacher educators and how they support the student teachers develop discourse practices relevant for teaching and learning school mathematics in multilingual classrooms. This article is broken down into several sections. The first section discusses what it means for student teachers to develop discourse practices for mathematics teaching. The second section provides an introduction to CDA, followed by its origins, key terms, and elements of Fairclough＇s CDA. Thereafter, the author outlines the strategies involved in doing CDA. The last section discusses why CDA is relevant to the mathematics classroom.     

从批评性语篇分析透视两则新闻报道

批评性语篇以大众语篇为其主要分析对象,试图揭示语篇背后的意识形态意义。从分类、及物性、转换等方面对同一事件的两则不同新闻报道进行分析,有助于揭示两家媒体是如何操纵语言资源来引导人们对于事件的不同解读,从而树立读者解读新闻语篇的批评意识。     

批评性话语分析与英语写作能力培养研究

本文简要评述批评性话语分析理论及批评性话语分析的主要分析方法,通过对一篇作文进行及物性及情态分析揭示及物性及情态使用对写作意图表达的作用,以期给英语写作能力培养以新的启示。

本文是一片探索性分析,旨在以诺曼.菲尔克拉夫以及伊莎贝拉.菲尔克拉夫的政治辩论理论结合批判话语分析的框架为基础,来研究政治家们如何辩证自己的观点。这种做法的目的是探索政治辩论理论如何增加批判话语分析的分析效力。本文所采取的文本来自于美国总统巴拉克.奥巴马针对2012年末2013年初的财政悬崖的讲话。     

从批评性话语分析的角度看意识形态对翻译的操纵

翻译不是简单的语言转换的游戏,而是蕴涵着强烈意识形态和政治动机的行为.翻译的全过程--从文本的选择,策略的选取到译文的接受,无不受到意识形态的制约.因此必须借助批评性话语分析理论,把翻译放到社会和文化的环境中去研究,才能进一步拓宽翻译研究的领域.     

浅析批评性话语分析对翻译的启示

传统的翻译注重的多是原著与译著之间的文本对比，在一定程度上忽略了原著的语用意义，以及部分译著的文学和社会价值。个案结果显示：将批评性话语分析理论应用于翻译实践和翻译批评，其中的系统功能语法分析能帮助译者更深刻地理解原著的文化意义和语用意义；批评性话语分析中的社会历史分析法能帮助翻译批评工作者更客观地发现译著的文学和社会价值。     

How do primary school English textbooks teach moral values? A critical discourse analysis

In recent decades, there has been a growing interest in the integration of moral values into language textbooks. This study aims to examine the inclusion of moral values in primary school language textbooks used in a multicultural country, specifically Indonesia. We conducted a critical discourse analysis adopting Martin and White’s (2005) language appraisal theory, Kress and van Leuween’s (2006) visual grammar theory, and Smetana’s (2006) social domain theory (social constructivism) to elucidate the verbal and visual representations of moral values in Indonesian primary school English language (EL) textbooks. The findings show that helping others, being friendly and polite, and tolerance are the most dominant moral values discursively depicted in three primary school EL textbooks in the present study. This suggests that those three values are socioculturally ingrained in Indonesian culture.
