HIGH TECHNOLOGY,EMPLOYMENT AND THE CHALLENGES TO EDUCATION

The contribution of employment in high technology industry to future employment growth in the US economy is estimated to be small. Much high technology employment is not professional work at all, but routine labour, and much of that performed by minority groups with few career opportunities. Most new jobs will occur in occupations requiring no more than secondary education. High technology may generate employment in other areas, but often low grade work performed in the “homework economy”. Appropriate education for employment in high technology industry and in computer-related fields is not necessarily specialised and technical; high-quality general education is probably more important. Instrumental education, ignorant of the demands of high technology, and of the demands a modern economy makes upon high technology, is likely to be counter-productive. Commercial and technical success requires a combination of cultural learning and technical skill.

拉萨河下游河谷区三叶草引种品比试验研究

针对拉萨河谷的自然气候条件, 选择了9种三叶草品种进行集中品比试验, 观察各种牧草的越冬率、生育期、高生长速率和产草量等生产形状。结果表明, 拉萨河谷下游河谷区适合引种栽培三叶草，三叶草能够顺利越冬，能够取得与其它地区相似气候条件下的相当产量。在参试品种中，Zgrk8802 红三叶、Beskyd红三叶和Vesna 红三叶是适宜于拉萨河谷下游的优良牧草品种，在越冬率、产草量、生长期和生长速率方面表现都是优良的品种，值得在拉萨河谷下游区推广。     

Indigenizing Education and the Phenomenology of Place

In this essay Justin Pack responds to Vine Deloria, Jr., and Daniel Wildcat's call to “indigenize education” by exploring what that entails both in his own life and for his teaching. Recognizing the power of place in Native American metaphysics, epistemology, and ethics is essential to the project of indigenizing education, according to Pack. He recounts how reading Deloria and Wildcat's Power and Place: Indian Education in America as a graduate student radically changed his perception of and relation to place, instilling in him the insight that knowing the history of a place is key to gaining a sense of one's connection to place. This realization, in turn, influenced Pack's approach to teaching. He came to understand that passing his changed perception and experience of place along to his students helped their development of critical thinking skills by exposing them to a metaphysics radically different from Western epistemology and ethics and by opening a path for them to recover a deeper sense of what it means to be in a place. Ultimately, Pack's aim in the essay is to demonstrate the potential for teaching Native American philosophy to function as a disruptive force in the classroom.

近年来，以低成本、便利化、全要素、开放式为特点的新型创新平台——众创空间快速发展。先对众创空间的起源与内涵作了梳理，并简要分析中国众创空间发展现状和盈利模式。针对国内众创空间盈利困难的问题，探寻可持续发展根源，以理论联系实际，探索一种新的商业模式。以BIOINN生物技术国家专业化众创空间为例，引入国外较为成功的“概念证明中心”功能，结合现有的专业化众创空间运营模式，基于众创空间价值链视角，构建新的商业模式，利于众创空间的自我造血与可持续发展，对其它专业化众创空间提供参考借鉴和对策建议。

本文在提示伊犁地逆温特征、逆温带气候资源特点及逆温带在农业生产上的作用和意义的基础上，重点对逆温带开发利用及总体设想进行了较为详尽的探讨，同时提出了逆温带开发措施及组织管理的几点建议。

认为价值链治理对发展中国家集群升级的影响最终随交易中生产商和采购商议价实力对比的变化而不同,并结合巴西西诺斯谷(S inos Valley)鞋业集群进行对比分析,最后得出了有关发展中国家集群升级的若干启示,指出:发展中国家集群中的生产商只有通过各种途径提高议价实力,才能带动整个集群在全球价值链中顺利地实现升级。     

历史时期长江流域农业生态变迁述论

历史时期长江流域气候、水土和森林植被等生态环境要素的变迁,与人类活动尤其是以稻空大点作生产为中心的农业活动有密切关系。一方面生态环境制约着稻作农业的发展变化,另一方面,农业活动对生态环境具有不同程度的影响。宋元以来,南方地区以围湖造田、丘陵山地开垦为主的大规模农业经济开发,对长江流域生态环境诸要素的负面作用逐步加大,导致水土流失、河湖淤塞和水旱灾害频发,农业生产和民众生活也因此受到很大危害。近现代长江流域经济开发进一步扩张,河湖淤废、森林破坏有增无减,而且水土环境的化学污染越来越严重。长江流域是中国稻作文明的发源地和主要的稻米产区,研究长江流域生态环境诸因素变迁与稻作农业发展的关系,对于保护区域生态环境,指导当地农业可持续发展,具有重要学术意义。     

Growing where you are planted: Exogenous firms and the seeding of Silicon Valley

What are the respective roles of indigenous and exogenous factors in the development of high-tech regions? Entrepreneurs and their start-ups have dominated Silicon Valley's economy in recent decades, but a different dynamic was at work from 1940 to 1965, when the Valley emerged as a formidable high-tech region. In key industries (electronics, semiconductors, computers, and aerospace) that defined Silicon Valley as a high-tech cluster during that period, companies based elsewhere played critical roles in planting the organizations that would - through the innovations they made, the technical talent they attracted, and the start-ups they spun off - help make the Valley the world's most admired and emulated high-tech region.
