电子教学参考资料系统中的版权问题分析

基于数字化资源与网络传播的电子教参系统不可避免地要涉及到相关的版权问题,典型的如馆藏作品的数字化以及基于网络环境对数字作品的使用。文章分析电子教参系统所面临的版权风险,探讨如何在现有的法律框架下,合理合法地建设电子教参系统并提供服务。

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the TALON services in the five state region (Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico). The study sample consisted of 172 librarians and medical records directors in the TALON region. The respondents represented a population of 245 members of the TALON network listed in the 1989 TALON Directory. The research instrument, designed by the investigator, was a 36 item questionnaire divided into six sextions of research concerns. Open-ended questions at the conclusion of each section elicited comments and suggestions.     

Centralized vs. Decentralized Models in Interlibrary Loan Access

ABSTRACT

In fall 1997, the University of Washington Bothell Library piloted a home-grown Electronic Reserves project to better meet the needs of its non-traditional population, consisting largely of returning, working, and/or commuting students. As the number of students commuting from greater distances increased, the need to provide remote access to course materials 24-hours a day became essential. Since no additional funding was received, the pilot began with only four classes. This enabled librarians to become familiar with the technology without being overwhelmed by demand. In-class demonstrations were provided, and quarterly surveys were distributed to students and faculty participating in the project. Results were analyzed over several quarters to determine the benefits to students and faculty. By fall 1998, 33 courses or 80% of reserves were available electronically. Issues that developed from the pilot included: (1) increased printing in the library and computer labs, (2) development of training classes for students; and (3) staff reorganization to provide the service.
