Mini-languages: a way to learn programming principles

Mini-languages are a visually intuitive, simple and powerful way to introduce students to programming. They are a good foundation for general computer science instruction, provide insight into programming for the general population, and teach algorithmic thinking. The goal of the paper is to provide an extensive review of the mini-language approach to teaching programming. For different audiences and in different countries, the authors have extensive experience in design and application of mini-languages. We outline the problems that motivate the application of this approach, present a brief history, review several existing mini-languages, and provide discussion of lessons learned. In particular, we discuss how to choose a mini-language for a particular group of students and list some requirements for a successful application of a mini- language. We conclude with a discussion of possible future directions of the mini-language approach development

From the viewpoint d social informatics, this article discusses the evaluation criteria of information litera-cy in 3 aspects. Social informatics is the theoretical basis on which the evaluation criteria of information literacy can be for-mulated. The development of social informatics widens the connotation of the evaluation criteria of information literacy.And the evaluation criteria d information literacy have a solid sociological foundation.     

基于生活信息学模型的个人健康信息管理研究

[目的/意义]以预防为核心的健康理念成为健康中国战略的主旋律,而以互联网为依托的自我跟踪技术在改善公民健康状况上存在巨大潜力。[方法/过程]本文基于生活信息学模型,结合问卷调查和访谈,对非医疗情境下用户在决定、选择、跟踪和失效四个阶段的健康信息管理实践进行调查,探究用户的行为模式和需求状况。[结果/结论]本文认为用户应当提升个人健康信息素养水平、培养参与健康活动的习惯,并充分享受个人健康信息管理的娱乐性和社交性,并针对自我跟踪技术提出了若干功能性和非功能性的优化策略研究结果有助于改进运动健康APP的设计,并指导个人在生活中开展健康信息管理活动。     

图书馆信息学与新文科交叉领域的关系预测研究

[目的/意义]论文回答的研究问题是:在新文科建设背景下,图书馆信息学与数据科学、数字人文与健康信息学等新文科交叉领域的关系发展的未来前景是什么?[方法/过程]论文从现有研究文献中图书馆信息学与数字人文、数据科学、健康信息学三个新文科交叉领域的关系类型出发,设计了民族志未来访谈,邀请三十四位国内图书馆信息学和情报学等学科的学者提炼这四个学科(领域)的核心竞争力,判断其相互间价值,并预测2030年最乐观、最悲观和最有可能的发展前景。[结果/结论]图书馆信息学与数字人文、与数据科学、与健康信息学在2030年更有可能出现的前景是并列有交集的关系,健康信息学相对更可能成为图书馆信息学的下位类,数据科学与图书馆信息学的关系相对更独立。

Leveling the playing field in ICT design: Transcending knowledge roles by balancing division and privileging of knowledges

Abstract

This article develops a conceptual model of users’ and designers’ knowledge roles in the information and communication technology design process. The “ideal” center at the intersection of the axes for division of knowledge work and privileging of knowledges represents a balanced distribution of knowledge work between users and designers and an avoidance of privileging either group over the other. The article then applies this model to analyses of the design process for six video games wherein the knowledges of Indigenous peoples in North America were mobilized. It concludes by discussing implications for research and design practice, particularly for broadening the participation and self-articulation of marginalized groups.
