The Evolution of the Zhuji Xiang Emigration Stories and the Sanctification of Liangxi Village

Since the late Ming Dynasty,in the evolution of the social changes in the Pearl River Delta region and the southern emigration of Zhuji Xiang residents,the elite of Liangxi successfully took advantage of a cultural strategy widely recognized and practiced by the folk society to construct their memory of their ancestors and community.The sanctification of Liangxi is a typical example of cultural innovation amidst cultural competition.
