Abstract: | Profession evaluation and its study have a broad social significance. First of all, we can see from people's evaluation of various professions the features of the professions to which they attach the greatest importance, the trend of people's appraisal of value, and to a certain extent the standard of social conduct. Second, through profession evaluation, we can discover the differences between various kinds of professions. To narrow these differences between various kinds of professions is an important task of the historical stage of socialism. Third, profession evaluation indirectly affects people's selection of jobs and professional mobility. Finally, profession evaluation gives a certain status and prestige to various professions and thus affects people's attitude toward work and even love and marriage. In view of its great social significance, the study of profession evaluation is of great necessity. |
