| 摘 要： | 《呼啸山庄》中的希斯克利夫是一个"人性与兽性"集于一身的形象.他何以从一个天真善良的少年沦落为一个残忍暴戾的复仇狂?辛德雷与林敦所代表的阶级压迫和社会摧残是希斯克利夫悲剧间接的和外在的原因,其直接的和内在的原因则是源于希斯克利夫的挚爱凯瑟琳对他爱情的背叛,以及因此而导致的他个性中原始野性的爆发.希斯克利夫的悲剧,既是社会的悲剧,也是爱情的悲剧,更是他个性的悲剧.

| Abstract: | Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights was a character of duality of humanity and brutality.How did he change from a good teenager to a crazy avenger? The indirect and exterior cause was the oppression of class and society embodied by Hindley and Linton.The direct and interior causes were Catherine's betraying his love and the burst of barbarous personality of Heathcliff himself.The tragedy of Heathcliff resulted from society,love and his personality. |
