摘    要:近年来,高职生因人文精神缺失而导致的各种问题日益引起社会关注.英语教育在培养人文精神方面具有一定优势,高职英语教育应坚持工具性与人文性并重,在课程体系、教材编写和使用以及教学设计等方面进行改革,使学生在掌握英语实践技能的基础上,不断提高人文素养,以获得持续、全面的发展.

The Unity of Instrumentalism and Humanism:Some Thoughts of Vocational College English Education

Abstract:In recent years,vocational college students' various problems due to the lack of humanistic spirit have aroused increasing social concern.On the bases of the analyses of the humanistic education thoughts and the unique advantage of college English in cultivating humanism,this article points out that it is necessary to integrate instrumentalism and humanism in vocational college English education.It also puts forward suggestions for the curriculum reform in terms of course setting,teaching materials and teaching design to improve students' English application ability and to ensure their all-round and lasting development as well.
