Hun royal's three princesses got married to the Western regions in the contending between Huns and Han Dynasty

In the General History Of Huns, Xijun, as a peace emissary of Han royal, was considered much less important than Wang Zhaojun. During the period of Xijun, there existed interchanges between Han royal and the Western Regions. However, because of long distance between Han Dynasty and the Western Regions, cold weather, shortage of food and the control of Huns in the Western Regions and the attacks from Huns, the Western Regions were places where nobody would like to go. Princess Jianyou lived in the kingdom of Wusun for over 50 years and had a sanguinary struggle with pro-Huns forces. Her six children also made great contributions to the alliance of Han Dynasty and the Western Regions. Princess Fen Liao convinced the kingdoms of Chengguo and divided the Kingdom of Wusun into two. She appointed the eldest son as the heir to the throne of Wusun. Besides, she also made Jianyou's eldest grandson, Xinmi pledge alliance. These three princesses contributed greatly to the economic and cultural exchanges between Han Dynasty and the Kingdom of Wusun. According to some historical facts, not only Xijun but also her successors, Jianyou and FenLiao did better than Wang Zhaojun.
