| Abstract: | The essay expounds reforming measures implemented boldly by Bai Wen wei during his rule as Dudu(governor for a few neighboring provinces)in Anhui Province from April,1912 to June,1913.His reforming measures covered the aspects of regime construction,tax regulation,educational system,backward traditions and customs,administrative corruption,opium depravity etc.The essay mainly stresses the strong impact upon social progress brought by all his measures in modern times. |
