摘    要:现代远程开放教育发展的特征之一是利用互联网络进行教学、测试、科研等工作。就网上形成性考核而言,相关研究刚刚起步。该文以中央广播电视大学开放本科英语专业“高级英语写作”课程形成性考核改革实验为例,探讨了网上会议作为网络环境下形成性考核手段的可行性以及这种测试方式对培养和提高学生英语写作能力的影响。

Abstract:Modern distance education is characterized by web-based instruction, assessment and research. So far there is not much research on web-based progress assessment. This paper is intended to explore the feasibility of using computer conferencing as a means of progress assessment. The subjects in this study are distance learners following a B.A. English programme at Beijing Radio and Television University. The experimental course is an English writing course.
