目前电子阅览室普遍存在设备老化、上网人数骤减、电子资源利用率较低等问题，电子阅览室的发展前景堪沈。高校图书馆只有适时引进IC理念，对电子阅览室进行改造，才能实现电子阅览室的可持续发展。

Nowadays many common problems still exist,such as equipment aging,the number of internet users dropping,the utilization rate of E-resources lowering and so on,which results in a dim future in the development of electronic reading rooms.Only when university libraries reconstruct their electronic reading rooms with the IC Concept can they achieve the sustainable development of their electronic reading rooms.
