避讳怪象——“父子不嫌同名”新解

纵观古代历史，自周代起，避讳之风贯穿了我国封建社会两千多年。魏晋南北朝时期有关避讳的制度更严于前朝，然而此时却出现了“父子不嫌同名”的矛盾现象。陈寅恪和万绳楠先生皆认为此现象的产生为信道所致。本文通过先假设、再论证的方式，说明信道与“父子不嫌同名”没有必然关联，进而指出其现象存在的可能原因，并以此说明在历史研究中注意避讳学知识的重要性。
