"对等"与"信达雅" --中外翻译评量理论比较

综评中国关于“信达雅”的翻译评量理论以及西方关于“对等”的相关的翻译评量理论,可以看出两种翻译评量理论的特点。西方的评量理论倾向科学,具有较强的实际操作性以及理论指导意义;中国的评量理论倾向艺术,能够发挥激励作用,可是相对抽象含混。两者具有相异的文化渊源和兼容并包的发展前景。

Comparison of the Theories in Translation Evaluation

This paper briefly reviews the theories in translation evaluation which are the debate on "xin da ya" in China and one on "equivalence" in the western world.The feature of each group of theories is also explored.The theories on "equivalence" can be considered to be a science While "being an art" is reflected as the main feature of theories about "xin da ya" in China.The result of the comparison is that theories in the western world are more practical than those in China,while the theories in China can give some subjective encouragement to translators.The final section goes to pursue the philosophical reason of the gap between the features of the two groups of theories.The paper also gives the prospect of the two systems of theories.
