| 摘 要： | 作者从《红字》出发,分析了霍桑在《红字》中所使用的象征手法,指出实际上是包含了某些隐秘的意义,展示的是霍桑对所处时代认识的困惑;他对宗教的虚伪进行了无情的讽刺,但却走不出他思想上的困惑.他认为人生都有"恶",人的一切罪行皆来源于内心的"恶","恶"无处不在,无处不有,唯有死,才是真正摆脱"恶"的唯一办法.

| Abstract: | The author analysed the symbolic manner that hawthorne used in "The scarlet letler" to point out that it contains some secret meaning,it euealed his confusion to his times.He satirized the dishonesty of religion cruely,but he couldn't find a way to relax himself in thaught.In his mind,everyone had "Evil",in his heart,and au crimes reseclted from "Evil" in one's hcart."Evil" existed everywhere at any time.It was death thatcould help people get rid of "Evil". |
