| Abstract: | With the development of the reform in education brought by multi-media network technology, the status and the function of teachers in modern distant open education have changed dramatically. A multi-media network teaching staff consisting of full-time teachers as its main part and part-time teachers, who are supposed to meet real needs of modern distant open education, ought to be trained and built up rapidly. |
