大学排名与世界一流大学建设--第一届"世界一流大学"国际研讨会述评

本文从世界一流大学的排名、世界一流大学的特征、世界一流大学的建设等三个方面,对第一届“世界一流大学”国际研讨会提出的若干观点做了简要的述评,既探讨了世界一流大学排名的方法论问题,也探讨了这类排名对世界一流大学建设的积极与消极影响,提出应该尽可能趋其利而避其弊,以促进我国的世界一流大学建设。

University Rankings and Building of World-Class Universities--Comments of the First International Conference on "World-Class Universities"

This paper gives a brief comment on several viewpoints which are raised in the First International Conference on "World-Class Universities" from three aspects, namely, rankings of world-class universities,characteristics of world-c lass universities and building of world-class universities. In this paper, the a uthor explores not only methodology of rankings of world-class universities, but also positive and negative affects which due to the rankings impact on building of world-class universities. Furthermore, the author thinks that Chinese should do their utmost to develop its advantage and prevent from its disadvantage in o rder to promote the construction of world-class universities in China.
