新疆少数民族大学生英语学习动机探讨

摘    要:学习动机是制约学生外语学习成绩的主要变量之一,长期以来中外学者们对外语学习动机进行了广泛研究。本文参考了Harmer(1991)外部动机和内部动机分类模式,对新疆少数民族学生英语学习动机进行了调查与分析,并进一步探讨了有效提高他们学习英语动机的策略,以便在新疆少数民族大学英语教学中帮助教师更有效地促进少数民族学生学习英语的兴趣和动机。

Abstract:Learning motive is one of important variants in restricting English-studying achievements. For a long time some scholars from home and abroad have made an comprehensive research on learning motive of foreign language studying. By applying the model of extrinsic motivation and intrinsic motivation suggested by Harmer, the paper makes a rough survey and analysis of English studying motives in minority college students in Xinjiang and deep discussion on some strategies of improving them so as to encourage their interest and motive of learning college English.
