由农而王：商鞅农本思想分析

From Farming to Domination: An Analysis on Shang Yang's Farming-centered Thought

Shang Yang's farming-centered thought was in the service of his utilitarian political conception centering on the process of "Farming-Wealth-Power-Domination".He believed farming was the main source of wealth and farmers were the important assurance of armed forces,thus,farming played an essential role in the whole conception of dominating the world.To act out the conception,shang worked out his econmic policy.Shang's farming determinism with the characteristics of materialism and utilitarianism is obviously the product of his time and has an everlasting impact on the Chinese traditional cultural psychology.
