| 摘 要： | 社会主义和现代化的统一，是中国历史的选择和邓小平理论的核心。作为邓小平理论首要和基本问题的社会主义本质论自然与现代化有密不可分的联系。本文主要以马克思主义现代化理论为指导，从社会主义现代化的历史定位、利弊得失、世界现代化的现状和特点等多个角度来研究邓小平科学社会主义本质论的提出背景，以深化认识和理解。
