The Repetition in Russian Dialogues

Repetition is one of these means, frequently used in conversation. Russian re-searchers of conversational analysis regard repetition as a specific listener reaction. They sum-marized intensively characteristics and immanency of repetition. This paper makes a specific a- nalysis of the repetition theories made by Russian scholars. Based on their research results, we expound the structure characters and types of the repetition, and then summarize its classifica- tion and communicative function.
