"Competitive Allocation of Resources" in the College Entrance Examination System

At the current stage, opportunity to enter college is still a kind of scarce public resource. The national college entrance examination system, which allocates this scarce resource by means of distribution, exchange, and competition, has "competitive allocation of resources" at its core. The competitive allocation of resources follows the value concepts of "win through competition" and "due process" and achieves a relatively balanced and rigid power structure. However, it also compromises the selection function which the system should perform.
