A Probe Into the Ideology of Political Stability by Deng Xiaoping

Political stability is an important component of Deng Xiaoping's Theory. The formation of this theory took place in three stages, its basic connotation including adhering to Marxism-Leninism and socialism and opposing liberalization; adhering to people's democratic dictatorship and maintain the stability of policies; adhering to strengthening and improving the Party's leadership and punishing corruption; adhering to reform and open-up policy to stimulate the political stability at home; adhering to the development idea of peaceful reunification and opposing power politics to build a stable international environment. To maintain a stable political environment is necessary for the establishment of a harmonious society, which can be achieved by means of economic, political and cultural development.
