中美几何教学理念和内容的比较

摘    要:几何是中美2国学校数学课程的重要组成部分,2国几何教学存在重大差别.表现在:教学的目的存在差异,中国力图帮助学生打下坚实的学科基础,美国重视帮助学生构建宽广的学科视野;对学生能力的关注存在差异,中国重视推理论证能力,美国重视实验与猜想的能力.我们要学习国外优秀的教学理念,也要发扬本国数学教学的优秀传统.

Abstract:Geometry was one of the important parts of Chinese school mathematics. There was a large difference in teaching and content between the US and China. We were trying to reform the instruction of geometry and had made some progress. Close attention was given to the NCTM Principles and Standards for School Mathematics, in which I had found many good ideas. Three of my papers that introduced your school geometry had been published in Chinese Journals. In this paper I hoped to introduce new developments of our school geometry in China and make some comparisons between our two countries. The new technology was becoming popular step by step in Chinese high schools. I hoped that some of my American colleagues would be interested in this article. I believed we should learn from each other and exchange our ideas. In doing this mathematics teaching would be improved.
