大学通识教育的意蕴及其可能性

摘    要:通识教育其实就是我们每一个人如何超越有限,追寻普遍与永恒的教育。大学通识教育的根本意义乃在于其承载了大学教育的根本目标,也就是以通识培育通人,即培养完整的人,而非通才。大学通识教育需要超越专门知识训练而达至整全意识,以向着经典、自由求知为取向的阅读与交往乃是大学通识教育的基本路径。通识教育不仅关涉大学教育的目标与内涵,同样关涉中小学教育品质。

Abstract:General education concerns with the problem how a person exceeds the limited and pursues the universality and eternity.The essential significance of university general education is that it bears the basic object of university education,which means to cultivate the whole person by general education,instead of cultivating generalists.Then,university general education should exceed the expertise training to cultivate the integrity consciousness;and its basic path is reading and communication originated by the classics and liberal knowledge.General education is linked with the object and connotation of university education,as well as the quality of primary and secondary education.
