| Abstract: | The paper analyzes the features of subtitle translation after a brief discussion of subtitle translation in present China. From the perspective of Functionalist Translation Theory, and with a case study of the TV series of Desperate Housewives, three different translation strategies, i.e. relevant strategy, counterpart strategy, and domesticating and foreignization strategy are used to have a thorough discussion about subtitle translation. |
