汉字简繁之争的由来及评析

2009年，由政协委员的一份提案引发了简繁汉字的又一次争论，这次争论是改革开放以来围绕汉字简繁的第二次比较激烈的讨论。分析这次简繁之争的背景，梳理近年来“挺简”、“挺繁”主要观点，可以明确：目前，在中国大陆，必须坚决贯彻执行《中华人民共和国国家通用语言文字法》，尊重文字发展的基本规律，坚持简化字为国家规范汉字的方向。

The Origin and Evaluation on the Debate Between Simplified Characters and Traditional Characters

In 2009,the argument between simplified characters and traditional characters has been initiated once again by a commissar of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference's proposal,which is the second time of a quite intense discussion about Chinese character since 1978.The article introduces the background about the argument,examines the major points of the supporters of simplified character and those of traditional character and proposes that Law of the People's Republic of China on the Standard Spoken and Written Chinese Language be firmly carried out in the mainland of China at present,and that the basic rules of the development of characters be respected.Simplified Chinese character should be regarded as the standard Chinese character.
