摘    要:研读文学作品能深入探讨人性,并透过对于人性的认知获得关于世界复杂性的认知,丰富观照人和世界的角度,实现关于审美能力、思辨能力乃至健全人格的教育.此研究尝试以在高等教育体系里处于基础学科和应用学科之间的英语教育为例,从历史和现实的双重维度探讨文学回归对于实现大学教育育人这一根本目标的重要意义.

Abstract:The discussion of literary works not only provides an opportunity to study humanity, thus gaining more profound knowledge of the complexity of the world, but also lends perspectives to humanity and the world. Literary study helps to cultivate aesthetic practice, critical thinking and a sound personality. A discussion of the significance of literature in English education, the discipline regarded as sitting somewhere between basic disciplines and applied ones, shows that the inclusion of literature in teaching answers the ultimate aim of university education.
