| Abstract: | In the art of painting, blue and yellow constitute green. From the perspective of cultural interpretation, the paper illuminates the connotation of green, yellow and blue in The Great Gatsby and explores their influence upon forming characters＇ destiny, which discloses Fitzgerald＇ s superb employment of western cultural connotation as well as his subtle arrangements of the novel. |
