| Abstract: | Chunks play an important role in language use. The mastery of large number of prefabricated chunks conduces to fluent language output and contributes to communicative interaction. This article reviews the empirical study of chunks and language output in order to probe into the importance of chunks and also provides some pedagogical suggestions for reference. |
