Using GRIDS to Develop the School |
| |
Abstract: | GRIDS stands for 'Guidelines for Review and Internal Development in Schools'. This is a school-based review process which has been tried out in 15 local education authorities (LEAs) since the mid 1980s. John Ashley, head of Hayfield School for pupils with moderate learning difficulties, Upton, Merseyside, was introduced to this system of review and development when he was working in Oldham, one of the pilot LEAs for testing the GRIDS model. |
