Ability Testing: Uses, Consequences, and Controversies

Affiliation:Study Director of the Committee on Ability of Testing of the Assembly of Behavioral and Social Sciences, National Research Council. Ms. Wigdor was staff historian of the National Study Commission on Records and Documents of Federal Officials, and taught history at Lincoln University (Missouri) and Northeast Missouri State University, and was a reader at the Folger Shakespeare Library for a year, Ms. Wigdor's interests include the legal dimensions of testing, development of government policy, and social issues associated with the rise of testing.
